  • Month-on-Month

              The month-on-month growth rate of the retail price index of selected construction materials in NCR eased to 0.2 percent in June from 0.4 percent in May. Monthly price gains in the indexes of carpentry and electrical materials slowed to 0.2 percent in June from their last month's rates of 1.3 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, prices of painting materials and related compounds remained stable as its group's index posted a zero growth during the month. The rest of the commodity groups have higher monthly growth rates.

              Price reductions were recorded in nails and sand paper while prices of cement, hollow blocks, faucet and steel bars were on the uptrend.
     

  • Year-on-Year

              The annual growth rate of the retail prices of selected construction materials in NCR went up to 3.4 percent in June from 3.1 percent in May. All the commodity groups registered higher annual price increments except for plumbing materials index whose annual rate remained at 3.2 percent.
