Another NSO Extension Office Opens in Caloocan

Residents of Caloocan City and the nearby municipalities of Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela (CAMANAVA) can now be spared of the long queues at the National Statistics Offices (NSO) front line service counters for civil registry documents. Administrator Tomas Africa announced that another extension office will be officially opened at the Caloocan City Hall on September 10, 1999. Mayor Reynaldo Malonzo and Acting Vice-Mayor Luis Abel of the host city as well as Valenzuela Mayor Jose Emmanuel Carlos, Malabon Mayor Amado Vicencio and Navotas Mayor Cipriano Bautista will all be present in simple ceremonies scheduled for the purpose.

The opening of the Caloocan extension office brings to three the number of such offices established by the NSO in coordination with the local officials and in line with its continuing effort of bringing its services closer to the public. Beginning June this year, the cities of Muntinlupa and Pasig has likewise been accepting applications for copies of birth, marriage and death certificates for local use or travel abroad. Africa further mentioned that the extension offices shall not be exclusive to the residents in the localities but also to all others who are in need of civil registry documents on security paper (SECPA).
