Medalla swears into office NSO new deputy administrator, regional directors

Socio-Economic Development Planning Secretary Felipe Medalla and Director-General of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) sworn into office at noon yesterday the newly appointed deputy administrator and two regional directors of the National Statistics Office (NSO) in simple rites held at NEDA-Pasig. The oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by NSO Administrator Tomas Africa and Secretary General Romulo Virola of the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB). Also present during the occasion were other NSO senior officials and relatives of the appointees.

Carmelita Ericta is the newly appointed NSO deputy administrator. Prior to her appointment, Ericta was the assistant secretary general of the NSCB. Two regional directors also took their oath of office before Secretary Medalla and they were Rosalinda Bautista for Region 4 and Tiburcio Palasan for the Caraga Region. Both Bautista and Palasan came from the ranks of NSO employees. Bautista was the former chief of the administrative services division, NSO-Manila, while Palasan was the former provincial statistics officer of NSO-Bukidnon.
