BENGUET
Benguet is one of the six provinces and one highly urbanized city comprising the Cordillera Administrative Region or CAR. It was created into a province on June 18, 1966 under Republic Act No. 4695. It is bounded in the south by the province of Pangasinan, in the east by the provinces of Ifugao and Nueva Vizcaya, in the north by the province of Mountain Province and in the west by the province of La Union and Ilocos Sur.
The land is mountainous and is cut by deep river valleys. The elevation keeps the temperature cool and invigorating, and when the Siberian wind blows in from the north in December and January, the weather may be chilly. The province of Benguet has a wet season from June to October and a dry season from November to May.
