WHOLESALE PRICE INDEX
The year-on-year inflation rate of the CMWPI in NCR slowed down to 3.6 percent in November from 3.7 percent in October. Slower annual price adjustments were seen in the following commodity groups: wood products (2.2% from 2.9%), hardware (2.1% from 2.3%), PVC pipes and paints (1.9% from 2.0%), reinforcing steel (6.8% from 7.3%), structural steel (4.3% from 5.4%), G.I. sheets (4.6% from 5.9%), aluminum and other metal products (10.9% from 17.4%), and tileworks (0.7% from 1.3%). Meanwhile the index for plywood, exterior electrical equipment/supplies, interior electrical fixtures and devices, machinery and equipment rental further dropped during the month while movement in the prices of electrical rough-in materials was still negative at -1.5 percent. The rest of the commodity groups retained their previous month's rates while those for plumbing fixtures and blasting materials were still zero. Source: National Statistics Office |
