The total population of Central Luzon (Region III)
as of September 1, 1995 is
6,932,570
          Bataan                491,459            Pampanga     1,635,767

  The population of Region III grew at the rate of 2.12 percent annually in the first half of the nineties. This is 0.47 percentage point lower than the annual geometric census growth rate during the eighties (2.58 percent).
Among the six provinces in Region III,
       Bulacan registered the largest population at 1,784,441
                       persons, and
       Bataan, the smallest at 491,459 persons.
Bulacan was the fastest growing province in the region with
                 an annual growth rate of 3.24 percent,
while Zambales was the slowest at 0.21 percent.
