Income and Employment Statistics Division

  1. Prepares technical plans and programs, and designs instruments for the undertaking of surveys related to:
  • labor force including youth employment, child labor;
  • income and expenditure;
  • household consumption (including energy);
  • overseas Filipinos;
  • poverty as measured by both income and non-income indicators;
  • affordability of housing; and
  • other related household economic activities
  1. Coordinates with NSO field offices regarding the conduct of household economic surveys, and monitors the progress of these surveys;
  2. Generates estimates and indicators from household economic surveys;
  3. Prepares reports and publications on the results of household economic surveys;
  4. Coordinates with other NSO Central Office organic units regarding the conduct of household economic surveys;
  5. Undertakes in-depth analysis of results of household economic surveys, and special topics of agriculture and fisheries including special studies using data from censuses of agriculture & fisheries;
  6. Assists international and local data users on their data requests related to household economic surveys; and
  7. Performs other functions as maybe assigned from time to time.
