1. Prepares technical plans and programs for the conduct of establishment and enterprise-based censuses and surveys for the following agro-industrial sectors: agriculture and forestry; fishing; mining and quarrying; manufacturing; electricity, gas, and water; and construction;
2. Prepares technical plans and programs for the collection, processing and compilation of construction statistics from administrative-based documents;
3.  Coordinates with other organic units of the agency regarding the conduct of establishment and enterprise-based censuses and surveys and other ad-hoc surveys for agro-industrial sectors and the compilation of administrative–based statistics;
4. Compiles, generates and analyzes economic statistics from establishment and enterprise-based censuses and surveys for agro-industrial sectors, and from administrative-based documents;
5. Prepares various technical reports of establishment and enterprise-based censuses and surveys for agro-industrial sectors and administrative-based statistics for dissemination;
6. Consolidates economic statistics from establishment and enterprise-based surveys of all economic sectors and prepares the technical reports for dissemination;
7. Prepares technical plans and programs for the conduct of ad-hoc and special surveys for agro-industrial sectors;
8. Compiles, generates and analyzes economic statistics from ad-hoc and special surveys, and prepares the technical reports for dissemination;
9. Provides inputs and technical assistance for the following:

• construction and maintenance of statistical frame
• compilation of input-output accounts
• training of statisticians and data users from national and international agencies
• design and implementation of establishment and enterprise-based census and surveys
•  economic statistics for researches and studies, and
• generation of other economic indicators.

10. Coordinates with other government agencies, local government units, business associations, and international agencies for the integration and standardization of statistical activities and generation of economic indicators on matters relating to the agro-industrial sectors;
11. Prepares studies and conducts researches for the development and improvement of economic indicators related to the agro-industrial sectors; and
12. Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
