Information Technology Operations Division

  1. Prepares plans, programs and strategies for the development and implementation of document and data conversion services, statistical archiving, central office network infrastructures management and technical support services;
  2. Provides document and data conversion services through image scanning and data entry operations;
  3. Implements data control and quality assurance procedures for records and images; 
  4. Assists in the conduct of technical evaluation related to the procurement of IT resources;
  5. Develops and recommends policies and standards related to agency-wide ICT policies and standards;
  6.  Reviews and evaluates specifications of IT-related items for procurement;
  7. Assists in the conduct of inventory of IT and other technical resources;
  8. Assists in the conceptualization and development of NSO data products and services;
  9. Organizes and maintains digital archive of census/survey files, tables, publications, questionnaires and manuals, as well as other official communications and documentation;
  10. Provides technical assistance to NSO computer users such as virus detection and removal, installation of authorized software, relocation of networked computers and other similar needs;
  11. Administers and manages central office server and network infrastructures;
  12. Conducts performance and security checks on central office server and network infrastructures to minimize risks against hacking, virus intrusion and other forms of unauthorized access and security breaches;
  13. Undertakes preventive and corrective maintenance of IT hardware;
  14. Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
