Information Technology Operations Division
- Prepares plans, programs and strategies for the development and implementation of document and data conversion services, statistical archiving, central office network infrastructures management and technical support services;
- Provides document and data conversion services through image scanning and data entry operations;
- Implements data control and quality assurance procedures for records and images;
- Assists in the conduct of technical evaluation related to the procurement of IT resources;
- Develops and recommends policies and standards related to agency-wide ICT policies and standards;
- Reviews and evaluates specifications of IT-related items for procurement;
- Assists in the conduct of inventory of IT and other technical resources;
- Assists in the conceptualization and development of NSO data products and services;
- Organizes and maintains digital archive of census/survey files, tables, publications, questionnaires and manuals, as well as other official communications and documentation;
- Provides technical assistance to NSO computer users such as virus detection and removal, installation of authorized software, relocation of networked computers and other similar needs;
- Administers and manages central office server and network infrastructures;
- Conducts performance and security checks on central office server and network infrastructures to minimize risks against hacking, virus intrusion and other forms of unauthorized access and security breaches;
- Undertakes preventive and corrective maintenance of IT hardware;
- Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
