Live Births

Vital statistics are administrative-based statistics derived from registered births, deaths, foetal deaths and marriages documents.  These provide bases for planning, for administration and evaluation of public health programs at the national and sub-national level.  Vital statistics are also available inputs to determine the potential population on an area.

The Civil Registry Law of the Philippines (Republic Act 3753) provides for the registration of birth, marriage and death documents and mandates the National Statistics Office to maintain the archives of these records.  At the local level, the City/Municipal Registrar is tasked to register these documents.

This page presents statistics on vital events that occurred and were registered in Quezon City.  It contains statistical tables covering three events:  births, marriages, and deaths.  The data provided were not adjusted for under registration, hence, caution must be employed in the interpretation of the tabulations.

It is hoped that data in this website will serve as valuable inputs for planners, policy makers and researchers in development planning and research activities.
