Welcome to the NSO Data Archive!

The NSO Data Archive (NSODA) is a gateway to NSO’s survey, census, and administrative-based microdata and documentations. A systematic repository of the data generation activities of the agency, NSODA hopes to ensure that all collected microdata are proficiently documented, widely-disseminated, and properly preserved.

The collection spans about 20 years of recent history dating back to 1991 with the uploading of the Labor Force Survey dataset. Included in the system are datasets from household- and establishment-based surveys and censuses and from administrative-based documents. These datasets were documented using the Microdata Management Toolkit and are disseminated through the National Data Archive (NADA).

The repository system was developed in collaboration with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) under its Accelerated Data Program which hopes to make rapid improvements in the quality and availability of survey data in developing countries. ADP is implemented as a satellite program of the PARIS21 Secretariat and is supported by the World Bank Marrakech Action Plan for Statistics (MAPS) Development Grant Facility.

With its establishment, the NSODA is envisioned to be a powerful tool in promoting data users’ proper interpretation and use of statistical data and in allowing the future generations of data producers to improve on what have been initiated.
