SEASONALLY ADJUSTED
The seasonally adjusted CPI of FBT in NCR and AONCR correspondingly moved up to 151.0 and 162.7 in February from their respective January levels of 150.0 and 161.3. Seasonal factors such as the prevalence of favorable weather conditions experienced during the month resulted to abundant supply of vegetables and selected fish species in the wet markets in NCR and AONCR. In addition, ample supply of in-season fruits was observed. These seasonal factors pushed down prices of FBT items in the two areas relative to the expected trend. Compared to last month, prices of the seasonally adjusted CPI for FBT items in NCR and AONCR correspondingly increased to 2.1 percent and 0.9 percent from 1.4 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively.
