SEASONALLY ADJUSTED
The seasonally adjusted CPI of FBT items in NCR and AONCR correspondingly registered at 151.3 and 162.7 in July were lower than their respective June levels of 151.5 and 162.9. Seasonal factors such as slight weather disturbances that were experienced in July pushed up prices of FBT items in two areas relative to the expected trend. Compared with last month, the monthly rate of change of the seasonally adjusted CPI for FBT items in NCR dropped to -0.1 percent in July from 0.1 percent in June while in AONCR it continued to post a negative rate of 0.1 percent. The seasonally adjusted CPI of non-FBT items in NCR decreased to 158.3 in July from 159.1 in June while that for AONCR picked up to 157.9 from 157.7 last month. Higher demand for clothing and footwear items brought about by opening of classes continued to pull up prices of non-FBT items in the two areas. On a monthly basis, prices of seasonally adjusted CPI for non-FBT items in NCR further slid to -0.5 percent in July from -0.1 percent in June. Prices of seasonally adjusted CPI for non-FBT items in AONCR moved up at a slower pace of 0.1 percent from 0.3 percent last month. For technical notes and
