FINAL FOREIGN TRADE STATISTICS
JANUARY to DECEMBER 2009


This report presents the final monthly statistics on exports, imports and the resulting balance of trade in goods (BOT-G) for the year 2009.

Final export and import figures include documents that were received by the National Statistics Office after the cut-off dates. Table 1 shows a comparison of the preliminary and final series of exports for 2009 by month and Table 2, the preliminary and final series of imports by month for 2009. The resulting preliminary and final series of the BOT-G is shown in Table 3.

As shown in Table 1, the final export figure was recorded at US$38,436 million from US$38,335 million for the period January to December 2009. For the same period, the final value of total imports was US$43,092 million, an increase of US$83 million from US$43,008 million (Table 2). The resulting trade balance in goods amounted to a deficit of US$4,656 million from the preliminary series of US$4,674 million deficit (Table 3).
