Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), Lucena City, a highly urbanized city in the province of Quezon, posted a total population of 246,392 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 50,317 persons compared to its total population of 196,075 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 2.31 percent. This is lower than the 2.67 percent annual PGR of the city between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Population of Quezon more than Triple in Fifty Years (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Quezon, excluding Lucena City posted a total population of 1,740,638 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 257,683 persons compared to its total population of 1,482,955 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.61 percent. This is lower than the 1.95 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Rizal posted a total population of 2,484,840 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 777,622 persons compared to its total population of 1,707,218 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 3.82 percent. This is lower than the 5.73 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Laguna posted a total population of 2,669,847 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is larger by 703,975 persons compared to its total population of 1,965,872 persons counted in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 3.11 percent. This is lower than the 3.67 percent annual PGR of the province between the census years 1990 and 2000.

Cavite’s Population had Increased by One Million (Results from the 2010 Census of Population and Housing)

Based on the 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH), the province of Cavite posted a total population of 3,090,691 persons as of May 1, 2010. This is an increase of 1,027,530 persons over its total population of 2,063,161 persons in the 2000 CPH. The increase in the population count from 2000 to 2010 translated to an average annual population growth rate (PGR) of 4.12 percent. This is lower than the 5.99 percent annual PGR of the province between census years 1990 and 2000.
