The year-on-year growth of the retail price index of selected construction materials in the National Capital Region (NCR) increased to 5.0 percent in July from 4.7 percent in June. The annual change in masonry materials and plumbing materials indices correspondingly advanced 13.9 percent and 1.9 percent from their respective last month's rates of 6.4 percent and 1.8 percent. Slower annual rates were however recorded in all the other commodity groups with tinsmithry materials index still recording a decline of -2.1 percent from -1.9 percent.
