Merchandise Export Performance : December 1998

Amidst the currency turmoil, export growth managed to post a total annual value of $29.496 billion which was 16.9 percent higher than $25.228 billion in 1997.

Total receipts for December 1998 increased by 13.1 percent to $2.523 billion from $2.231 billion last year.

Merchandise Export Performance : April 2012

Export earnings in April 2012 which amounting to $4.636 billion went up by 7.6 percent from $4.306 billion recorded in April of 2011. Similarly, on a monthly basis, it increased by 7.2 percent from $4.323 billion posted in March 2012. Moreover, aggregate merchandise exports for the first four months of 2012, showed an increase of 5.5 percent to $17.512 billion from $16.592 billion posted during the same first four months in 2011.

Merchandise Export Performance : April 2009

Export earnings in April 2009 fell by 35.2 percent to $2.803 billion from $4.328 billion registered in April 2008. Month-on-month it went down by 3.6 percent from $2.907 billion in March 2009. Summing up the merchandise exports from January to April 2009, it declined by 36.4 percent to $10.727 billion from $16.870 billion reported a year earlier during the same four-month period.

Merchandise Export Performance : October 2000

Total receipts from merchandise export for the period January to October 2000 grew by 7.7 percent to $31.265 billion from $29.018 billion last year.

For the month of October, total receipts went down by 1.8 percent to $3.398 billion compared to $3.460 billion in 1999.

Merchandise Export Performance : November 2000

Total receipts from merchandise export for the period January to November 2000 grew by 7.8 percent to $34.582 billion from $32.093 billion last year.

For the month of November, total receipts increased by 7.9 percent to $3.317 billion compared to $3.075 billion in 1999.
