Reported earnings for March 2002 declined by 0.7 percent to $2.848 billion from $2.870 billion during the same month a year earlier.
Receipts from merchandise exports for January to March 2002 went down by 5.3 percent to $8.108 billion from $8.564 billion during the same period in 2001.
Reported earnings for February 2002 went down by 6.4 percent to $2.625 billion from $2.805 billion during the same month a year ago.
Receipts from merchandise exports for January to February 2002 declined by 7.7 percent to $5.257 billion from $5.694 billion during the same period in 2001.
Aggregate receipt for January 2002 from the country's merchandise exports declined by 9.0 percent to $2.630 billion from $2.889 billion during the same period in 2001.
Total receipts from merchandise export for the period January to September 2000 grew by 9.0 percent to $27.867 billion from $25.558 billion last year.
For the month of September, total receipts went down by 5.2 percent to $3.502 billion compared to $3.693 billion in 1999. This is the first decline in export revenues posted since November 1994.
