The employment rate in April 2011 Labor Force Survey (LFS) was estimated at 92.8 percent, slightly higher than the figure reported in April last year at 92.0 percent.
Labor force population in July 2002 increased by 1.4 million or 4.1 percent compared to the same period last year. Labor force participation rate, likewise, increased by 0.8 percentage point, from 66.3 percent to 67.1 percent.
Labor force population in April 2002 increased by 4.3% to 35.1 million from 33.6 million reported in April last year. Labor force participation rate, likewise, increased to 69.9% from 69.0%.
Labor force population in January 2002 was 4.4% higher than the estimate of 31.7 million a year ago. Labor force participation rate, likewise, increased to 66.4% from 65.5%.
The employment rate or the proportion of employed persons to total labor force was recorded at 92.9 percent in October 2010. This figure was the same as the estimate in October 2009.
