  Production output of the manufacturing industry in June 2001 registered an increase of 18.2 percent in value and 11.3 percent in volume compared to year ago figures according to the preliminary results of the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI).

Preliminary results of the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) for December 1998 indicated a year-on-year decline in both production and sales in the manufacturing sector. Value of production decreased by 5.8 and its corresponding volume, by 10.6 percent from December 1997. The value of net sales also dropped by 5.3 percent and its corresponding volume, by 6.0 percent.

Preliminary results of the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) for November 1998 indicated year-on-year declines in both production and net sales in the manufacturing sector. Value of production decreased by 18.1 percent and its corresponding volume, by 24.4 percent from November 1997. The value of net sales also dropped by 10.7 percent and its corresponding volume, by 16.1 percent.
