The total population of Romblon, as of May 1, 2000, was 264,357 persons. The figure was higher by 19,703 persons over the 1995 Census of Population (POPCEN) results and five times the population of the province in 1903.
In the May 1, 2000 Census of Population and Housing, the total population of Rizal hit 1,707,218 persons. This was higher by 394,729 persons as compared to the 1995 count of 1,312,489 persons.
