Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey

		The Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS) is a survey conducted by the National Statistics Office (NSO) every five years. The FLEMMS presents comprehensive statistics on the latest status of literacy, education, and mass media exposure of Filipinos. It brings together a wide range of information that serves as a guide for government policy makers, program planners, and decision makers in providing a much broader scope of action and more focused program intervention on the target beneficiaries of development plans. It is also very useful in private businesses and industries as well as in academic researches and development projects.

Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES)

Provides data on family income and expenditure which include among others levels of consumption by item of expenditure as well sources of income in cash and in kind.

Specifically discusses levels of living and disparities in income and spending patterns of families belonging to different income groups.

Also includes related information such as number of family members employed for pay or profit (or as wage, salary, or own-account workers); occupation, age, and educational attainment of household head; and other housing characteristics.

Volume I (National Summary) - contains statistical tables at national and regional levels (urban-rural) and some comparative data from previous FIES.

Volume II (Provincial and Key City/Municipality) - presents data at the national, regional, provincial, and key city/ municipality levels (Years 2000 and earlier).

Volume III (Special Report on Housing) * - presents highlights of the survey results on housing with textual and statistical tables that compare latest data with previous FIES results.

Consumer Price Index in the Philippines

A publication that presents changes in the price level of goods and services that most people buy for day-to-day consumption from 1988 to 1995 (with 1988 as base year), by major commodity group, on national and regional levels. Also reports inflation rates and the purchasing power of the peso. The maiden issue covers 1957 to 1994.

A textual analysis with graphical presentations is provided to have a clear picture of price movements over time.

Commodity Flow in the Philippines

Provides annual comprehensive statistics on regional commodity flow or domestic trade by mode of transport.
Contains detailed statistics and value of coastwise, air, and rail trade by commodity, port of origin, and destination.
