2006 Census of Philippine Business and Industry (CPBI) - Transport, Storage and Communication for Establishments with Average Total Employment (ATE) of 20 and Over : Preliminary Results

Based on the preliminary results of the 2006 Census of Philippine Business and Industry, the Philippines had a total of 925 establishments with ATE of 20 and over engaged in Transport, Storage and Communications sector (Table 1). As shown in Figure 1, Supporting and auxiliary transport activities; activities of travel agencies garnered the highest number of establishments at 410 (44.3%). The Land transport; transport via pipelines ranked second with 28.2 percent and Postal and telecommunications services, third with 17.1 percent. Air transport, on the other hand, recorded the lowest number of establishments or one percent.

2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) - Transport, Storage and Communications for All Establishments : Final Results

Based on the final results of the 2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry, the Philippines had a total of 4,181 establishments engaged in Transport, Storage and Communications sector for all employment sizes. Activities of other transport agencies industry topped the sector with 1,185 establishments or 28.3 percent.

From the preliminary results of the 2009 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry, the Philippines had a total of 960 establishments with TE of 20 and over engaged in Transport, Storage and Communications sector.
